The short version: ScribbleSearch collects nothing. No account, no analytics, no ads, no tracking. Everything the game saves lives on your own device, and deleting the app erases it. That's the whole policy — the rest is detail.
1. What the app collects
Nothing. ScribbleSearch does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information, from anyone, anywhere. Specifically, the app contains:
- No analytics or crash-reporting tools
- No advertising networks or ad SDKs
- No sign-up, login, or account system
- No location, contacts, microphone, camera, or photo permissions — the app requests none of them
- No cookies and no third-party trackers
The app makes no network requests during play. All game content — the word lists for every world — is bundled inside the app itself, which is why it works fully offline.
2. Data stored on your device
To make the game pleasant to return to, ScribbleSearch saves a small amount of information on your device only:
- Which words you have found in each world
- Your current board, so you can put the game down mid-puzzle and return to the exact same letters
- Your preferences, such as your chosen world
This data never leaves your device and is never sent to us or to anyone else. If you delete the app — or offload it — this data is erased. There is no server copy, because there is no server.
3. Purchases
ScribbleSearch has a free tier with one featured free game per week. ScribbleSearch Plus subscriptions are available from launch at A$2.99/month or A$25.00/year. Neither tier contains advertising — no ads ever.
4. Children
ScribbleSearch is designed to be suitable for all ages, including young children. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone — children included — no personal data about children is ever gathered, and nothing in the game asks for it.
5. This website
This website is separate from the app. It is a set of static pages with no cookies, no analytics, no advertising trackers, and no forms. If you follow a link from this site to the App Store, Apple's own privacy policy applies to what happens there.
6. The App Store privacy label
Because we collect no data, the "App Privacy" label shown on ScribbleSearch's App Store page will read "No Data Collected." That label is set by Apple based on the practices described in this policy.
7. Changes to this policy
If our practices ever change, this page will change with them, and the effective date at the top will be updated. Material changes will also be announced in the app's release notes.
